New Sponsor- Alkalife Water

I am very pleased to announce a new sponsor relationship with Alkalife, Alkaline Natural Spring Water. This water is from the limestone caverns in the Blue Mountains region of Australia. This is an exciting new addition to our team of performance enhancing sponsors.

The properties of this water fall in line with our beliefs on optimal eating, especially for athletes. It’s jam packed full of minerals and tastes great, but what we are particularly interested in is its alkalinity.

An athlete is more prone to blood acidosis due to the by-products of exercise. One way the body neutralizes acid is by breaking down muscle tissue. Briefly explained…the body attempts to reduce acidity by releasing minerals such as nitrogen and calcium in the blood. This may diminish performance and health as muscle and bone are compromised.

By drinking Alkalife during training and recovery we will be neutralizing the possible damaging effects of acid build up and saving bone and muscle break down- as we go! This could have significant performance benefits!

Another benefit of Alkalife water, which I didn’t anticipate is it's very soft. This makes it incredibly smooth and easy to drink. I didn’t realize the hardness of Sydney tap water was making it feel hard to swallow sometimes. So now I feel it's much easier to keep hydrated as I can drink more.

I am very grateful to Alkalife for their support and for joining my team.
